We print on a high-quality, 100% cotton, pre-shrunk, optic white poplin fabric. It is a tighter weave than traditional quilting weight fabric and great for your sewing and craft projects. Our fabric has not been treated with flame retardant chemicals. Our fabric is printed in the USA on imported cloth.
We are testing a variety of additional fabrics for inclusion into our product line. Once we find fabrics that meet our rigorous quality control standards, we will make those fabrics available for purchase.
We print with environmentally-friendly, water-based textile pigments. We do not use any harsh acids or chemicals. These pigments have been specially formulated to be compatible with our printers and fabric and offer a rich color gamut with good fastness. Black is a challenging color for all digitally printed fabrics because black is being placed on a white background. Occasionally there may be slight streaking in large blocks of black or other dark colored designs. Some fading may occur after washing, particularly on darker, more saturated sections of fabric. To minimize fading, we recommend washing the fabric separately on a gentle cycle in cold water. Tumble dry on low heat or hang to dry.
Our prints will be printed at a 56” width exclusively as of July 1, 2015. 44" width is standard among most designer quilting weight fabrics. We no longer print patterns, tips, and panels in the margins of our yardage orders.
